Maintenance

While WordPress is a free/Open Source website platform, it does consist of parts (WordPress core files, plugins, themes) which at the very least need to be kept up to date and secure to avoid the website breaking or getting hacked. Vulnerabilities in each of those parts are often found, published on the internet, and exploited - which makes keeping track of such vulnerabilities and quickly making the necessary updates vital to the security of the website. While it is necessary to maintain a WordPress website at least to the minimum standard and set up regular backups, you could do this basic maintenance in-house; we could provide basic instructions to you or someone working for you for free, if needed.
